A mint unused stamp from the Dominican Republic, issued in 1913 for the centenary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte (1813–1913), founding father of the Dominican Republic. The stamp features an engraved oval portrait of Duarte set in an ornate green frame, against the Dominican national flag background of blue, red and white. Inscription: Correos 1 Centavo, República Dominicana, 1813–1913.
