A mint unused stamp from Costa Rica, issued in 1900 for the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The stamp features an engraved oval portrait of Braulio Carrillo Colina, head of state of Costa Rica in the 1830s–1840s, printed in bicolour: black portrait on a golden-yellow ornate background. Inscription reads Costa Rica, Correos y Telégrafos, UPU 1900, Braulio Carrillo, 10, Diez Céntimos.
